VarAC is a FREE, modern HF P2P real-time chatting application
for the amateur radio operator that leverages the glorious VARA protocol. I have been playing arround with VarAC for a will and this works great.

Some Initial Observations on features in the VarAC Program
Efficient HF Chat mode – Based on the VARA HF modem by EA5HVK who states “VARA is a High Performance HF modem based on OFDM modulation. VARA Modem, brings  state of the  art Military  grade technology to  new  and  existing HF data”.
Designated Call-up Frequencies – and a beaconing feature making it easy to find other stations using VarAC. Also provided is a convenient way for both stations to QSY up or down from the calling frequency, once a contact is established to avoid tying up the calling frequency.
Last heard beacons & Last heard CQ calls – lists automatically updated based on other stations heard on the calling frequency. You can click on these calls to bring up menu options for ‘QRZ lookup’ or to ‘Ping’ that station for obtaining a S/N report on your signal…a really cool feature for determining the quality of  your signal path with that station.
Pre-defined “canned” Messages – allowing you to prepare and store messages that can then be queued for transmission during a contact
Logging information – recorded automatically and then stored in ADIF format. Log data saved to VarAC log folder, and can also be configured for transfer directly into a number of the popular electronic logging software programs – DXKeeper, N3FJP, Log4OM, N1MM, HRD Ongoing Program Development – with forums and manuals available online.
